The Agriturismo

The Villa that houses the Agriturismo, now devided into 5 appartamenti, has ancient origins. On top of the West side of the valley of Levanto, about 2,5 km from the sea, it is in fact mentioned in some XII century contracts drawn up in Genova. In the first half of 1500 the inhabitants of Tuvo, the name of the Villa, were about fifty, decreasing to 27 in 1607, and to 19 in 1828. In the XX century some documents proved the existence in Tuvo of a Chapel, named after the Madonna della Salute (Madonna of Health), whose traces have been lost over the years.

Refurbished from the beginning of the 90s, the Villa is now divided into five large apartments, that keep characteristic elements of a rural period, such as ovens, millstones, presses and fireplaces. Immersed in the green fields of this area laid out in terracings, such as olive trees, grapevine plants and citrus trees, this structure offers every modern life comfort in an old-time setting.

All apartments are fully equipped with washing machines, modern kitchens inclusive of dishwashers, televisions, and bathrooms in excellent conditions, besides having a private terrace each, to admire wonderful panoramic views. The large rooms allow the possibility of additional beds, besides the ones present in the description of each apartment, thanks also to the presence of comfortable sofa beds. Moreover, the structure offers parking facilities, suitable for more than one car per apartment.

Characterised by the presence of arches, alleys, and stairs, the Villa maintains exactly all the elements of the typical old villages of this side of the Riviera Ligure. Staying in this picturesque structure will make you feel like experiencing the Cinque terre of past times.

From every window of the apartments it is possible to admire wonderful views: from the mountains and the old villages inland, to the roofs of the Villa with the fields in the background, until the bell tower of Sant'Andrea's church in Levanto and the sea. At night the landscape is lit up by the tiny lights of the valley, that resemble a Christmas Crib.

At walking distance from the Villa it is also possible to visit the small Villages of Lizza, Dosso, Groppo, and the lovely Lavaggio Rosso, which is less famous but certainly not less valuable in the Villages of Cinque Terre, accurately representing their urbanistic peculiarities.
